Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Susan Maxwell, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, devotion, and partnership. His legacy lives on through his children—Kevin, Sarah, and Elaine—and his nine cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy. Family was at the heart of Dave’s life, and he spent countless hours creating lasting memories, including meticulously planned family vacations and special moments.

Born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, Dave demonstrated a strong academic foundation, earning a prestigious scholarship and studying Science and Biochemistry at the University of Alberta. It was there that he met Susan, beginning a lifelong journey together. His professional career was marked by distinction, including his time at Syncrude Canada Ltd., where he made significant contributions to research projects and later served as a senior scientist. Dave also extended his expertise to consulting work on major initiatives like the Envirofuels plant in Edmonton.

Beyond his professional success, Dave was known for his kind and gentle nature, his intelligence, and his generosity. He was a constant source of support and guidance to friends, family, and colleagues, always ready to listen, lend a helping hand, and offer thoughtful counsel. His warm smile, caring demeanor, and genuine kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
