Bailee Deems, 18, Stringtown, OK Car Accident; Teen Dies in Tragic Truck Crash on U.S. Highway 69

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the collision occurred on Sunday when a box truck struck Bailee’s southbound vehicle, forcing it across the center median and into opposing lanes of traffic.

The impact was catastrophic. Emergency crews from the Stringtown Fire Department responded quickly and used the Jaws of Life to extricate Bailee from the wreckage. She was transported to Atoka County Medical Center for urgent medical care, but despite all efforts by medical staff, she was later pronounced deceased. Officials confirmed she was the only fatality in the crash.
